As part of ESL’s commitment to environmentally responsible shipping practices, we have taken the decision to discontinue acceptance of plastic waste shipments. This initiative reflects our dedication to safeguarding marine ecosystems and preserving biodiversity.

To support the implementation of this commitment while allowing customers sufficient time to prepare, we would like to advise that ban on the acceptance of plastic waste shipments will be made effective from 1st October 2026.

Any booking placed on or after 1st October 2026 for the above-mentioned commodity will not be accepted.

Plastic waste is classified under HS Code 3915.

To ensure compliance with this policy, the relevant HS codes have been restricted within our booking systems. Please be reminded that any misrepresentation or inaccurate declaration of cargo contents may result in blacklisting of the responsible party and implementation of cargo misdeclaration fee.
